Assessors and Verifiers Awards
The old D32, D33 and A1 Awards have been replaced by a new range of qualifications;Options
| 1. Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment. | Cost = £495 |
| 2. Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the work environment (includes option 1). | Cost = £695 |
| 3. Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally related Achievement (includes option 1) | Cost = £695 |
| 4. Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (includes options 1, 2 & 3) | Cost = £895 |
Entry Requirements
Learners wishing to undertake options 2, 3 or 4 will need to be qualified and experienced in child development and education to a level 3. Learners will need to be working with or have access to a minimum of two NVQ candidates working towards any of the following;-
NVQ Children’s Care Learning and Development level 2 or 3

The Children & Young People’s Workforce level 2 Certificate
- The Children & Young People’s Workforce level 3 Diploma
(It should be possible to arrange for candidates through First Avenue Training).
The courses consists of an individual or group taught session to get learners started then several hours of one-one support and observation. There are no exams, however learners will be required to produce a portfolio of evidence showing their competency, knowledge and understanding of the subject. This will include results of their practice in assessing.
