CACHE Level 4 Certificate in Managing Quality Standards

This award has been designed in partnership with the National Day Nurseries Association. The aim is to give you the opportunity to critically evaluate the processes that need to be followed in order to achieve the highest possible quality standards within the setting in which you work. It examines quality assurance schemes and the statutory inspection process.

The award consists of two units. In order to achieve the full award you must gain a Pass grade in each unit. Each unit has its own assessment.

• You must be an experienced and qualified practioner with a level 3 qualification before undertaking this qualification.
• You must be employed or working as a volunteer within an appropriate setting with children.

CACHE recommends that there are 60 guided learning hours for the full award. These may not all be classroom based. It is important to know that you will need to have extra time for additional reading and preparing assignments.

Progression routes include NVQ Level 4 for Children's Care Learning and Development, and Early Years endorsed Foundation Degree.
