CACHE QCF Qualifications for the Children and Young People's Workforce

These QCF qualifications are replacing the NVQs below. The awards cover the care and development of children from birth to 19 years. They require a learner to demonstrate an understanding of development across this age range, however observation of actual working practice is on the age range of the children with whom the learner is currently caring for.

• CACHE Level 2 Certificate for the Children & Young People's Workforce
  For Early Years Assistants who may be new entrants to the occupation and/or whose responsibilities at work are limited in scope.
• CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Children & Young People's Workforce
  For Early Years staff (and similar) whose working role calls for competence across a varied range of responsibilities. Entrants will require either a level 2 qualification or to be experienced in their field.

The above qualifications can be undertaken either on a stand-alone basis or within an adult apprenticeship framework. Please enquire about fully funded training.

Children's Care Learning & Development NVQs

These awards cover the care and development of children from birth to 16 years. They are no longer available and have been replaced by the qualifications shown below.

• Children's Care Learning & Development NVQ Level 2
  This has been replaced by the level 2 Certificate above.
• Children's Care Learning & Development NVQ Level 3
  This has been replaced by the level 3 Diploma above.
• Children's Care Learning & Development NVQ Level 4
