Children's Care Learning & Development NVQ Level 2

At level 2 the qualification has 6 mandatory units and 1 option unit chosen from a list of 4. The option unit will match the learners' role. This level is suitable if you are supervised.

Entry Requirements

• Learners must be aged 18 years or over.
• Learners will need to be working with children (paid or unpaid) approximately 5 hours a week and have some experience of childcare.

Course Content

This course will require the learner to show their practice, knowledge and understanding of helping to keep children safe, supporting children's development, play and learning, preparing and maintaining environments to meet children's needs, building positive relationships with children and adults and looking at developing own practice.

There will be other requirements relating to the chosen option unit.
