Level 2 Award in Food Saftey in Catering
In 2006 new EU legislation introduced HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) to the UK which necessitated a review of recommended food safety training. The old 'Basic Food Hygiene' was integrated with HACCP with the new food safety training now called Level 2 Food Safety in Catering.
The course takes approximately 6 hours in total to complete, with one end test.
The course is divided into 5 subject areas:

The importance of food safety.

Personal hygiene.

Safe cleaning and use of chemicals.

Food safety hazards.

Temperature control and safe food storage.
